3 Money Lessons From Lemonade

“Keep your money, I got my own”

– Don’t Hurt Yourself

There was once a time when women would depend solely on their husband’s money but these days sisters are doing it for themselves! Women work, we make our own investments, we split the bill and sometimes we pay the whole bill! Long gone are the days where we have to have financially worry if things don’t work out with someone romantically. In a sit-down interview with Oprah a few years ago, Beyoncé famously said: ‘Make sure you have your own life before you become somebody’s wife.” With that being said we assume she also means, have your own money too!

Beyonce has multiple streams of income through her various businesses such as Ivy Park,Parkwood Entertainment along with her investments in property and new musical talent. Beyonce has said in the past that she is quite frugal and it shows since her net worth is $450 million.

Wherever and however you make your money, put some aside in your savings or for investments. No matter how small the amount may seem to you, in a few years the consistancy you created from stacking your money will pay off. Be in a position to be able to say, “I’m financially secure.” It’s a great feeling to have!

What can we take away from this? Create multiple streams of income for yourself and put some away for your future.

“Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper”

Throughout many points of your life, there may be rumours and gossip about you. We can spend all day addressing them or we can keep working on our craft and getting better. Beyonce has taken the latter approach in life. From getting plastic surgery to turning down Kelly & Michelle’s microphones at the Superbowl to not carrying her own child, Beyonce has had all sorts of rumours swirling around her.  What does she do? She addresses it in her music which people pay for or addresses it on stage at concerts, which people pay for.

No one will go through this life without being criticised. Instead of joining them in their criticism, show them how it’s done and let your success and your profits speak for itself.
